Hi, I’m Jason. Thanks for stopping by!
I hope that you find my recipes and my thoughts on nutrition and running useful. I would especially love it if you let me know what you think of any of the recipes you try!
Let me begin by outlining what I’m not:
- I’m not a trained chef
- I’m not an elite athlete
- I’m not a Dietician
So, why this blog then?
Well, over the years many people have asked me for recipes and for advice on nutrition, and this seemed like the obvious way to spread some of the love wider.
And I do have SOME credentials:
- I’m a keen cook! I love experimenting and cook virtually all the food for my family. I’ve enjoyed cooking since my mum taught me how to make a spag bol (with some help!) when I was around 5 years old! Ta, Mum!
- I also love to run! I’ve been lucky enough to win an international vest and run for Wales in the 100k (woohoo!). I have also been Welsh ultramarathon champion twice.
- I began to research nutrition to help make sure my eating supported my training! Eventually, I followed a course which led to a Level 5 Diploma in Nutritional Studies.
I also do some copywriting and creative writing in my spare time. Never a dull moment! 😀
In my day job, I’m a high school teacher, and I live in a sleepy Welsh coastal town where nothing much happens. Perfect! Lol!

Thanks again for dropping in here. Please check out my recipes from the main menu on the homepage. You can find my outlook on food as fuel for an active running lifestyle here. Let me know what you think!
